Pssst! Hey you! Yeah, you! Come over here. I wanna tell ya a secret. Don't worry, I won't hurt ya! I just wanna give you something that you really, really need. See, what I got here is this CD, it's a tribute to the Ramones. Yeah, you know, the Ramones! Only the world's first and greatest punk band! The o-rig-inators of the slash and burn blitzkrieg attack and who gives a damn about survivors thing! "Beat on the brat, beat on the brat", yeah, yeah, you know what I'm talking about! But, see, this here ain't just any tribute. Nah, this one here is special. Why? I'll tell ya why, kid, it's 'cause this is a rockabilly tribute and the Ramones and rockabilly have a lot more in common than just a couple o' letters! Why, they go together like rama-lama-lama-a-ding-a-dy-dingy-dong, baby! See, in the fifties, when a buncha southern greasers from the sticks decided that the clompity-clomp rhythm of country just wasn't cuttin' it, they revved it up like a car running moonshine and rockabilly was born, causing parents to write congressmen and lock teenagers up in closets. It was the nastiest sound around!
Fast forward to 1975, and you got the Ramones trying to musically decapitate everyone in sight with their buzzsaw approach, with much the same results. By combining the two here, we run the risk of an alchemical reaction that no human can control, but hey, I think you can handle it, kid. You look tough. Now here, take this and get outta here, before we get caught. Hey, don't forget to pay for it on your way out; I got enough problems as it is! And for god's sake, cut your hair and fix those holes in your jeans!
